Drinks for Christmas and New Year's table

A fragrant mulled wine, steaming punch and strong grog - come from Europe. It can not, by the way, they will fall and the holiday table. 

Grog 

Appeared in the XVIII century, once it warmed the British sailors. There are many types of coffee, invariably only one thing: the ratio of alcohol (rum or brandy) to the water - one in four. 

Grog English 

You will need: 2 cups water 
1 tbsp. l. mint syrup 
1 bottle (0.75 ml) rum 
1 pinch ground black pepper 
2 star cloves 
1 pinch ground cinnamon. 

Combine all ingredients and boil on low heat. Strain through a strainer and add the rum. Pour into glasses. 


Grog tea 

You will need: 160 ml rum 
4 cinnamon sticks 
10-16 asterisks cloves 
2 tbsp. l. sugar 
Tea 
lemon. 

Brew 300 ml strong tea, add cinnamon, cloves and sugar. Pour the rum. Serve hot in cups or glasses low. For piquancy to put on a slice of lemon. 


Punch 

Translated from the ancient Indian word "punch" (punch) means "five", as well as a drink prepared with the obligatory presence of five components: rum, wine, fruit juice, sugar and spices. Today, the punch has a strict recipes, it all depends on taste and experience of the cook. The temperature of the finished drink should be around 60-70 degrees. 


Christmas Punch 

You will need: 2 tsp. black tea 
750 ml of hot water (80 degrees) 
4 Art. l honey 
2 tbsp. l. ginger syrup 
350 ml of rum. 

Tea brewed hot but not boiling water, drain. Mix with honey and ginger syrup. Add rum. Mixture in a saucepan to heat, without boiling. 


Brandy Punch 

You will need: 500 ml brandy 
juice of 2 lemons 
250 ml hot water 
100 ml sugar syrup 
2 cup lemon, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves. 

In boiling water, put a mug of lemon, spices, pour the sugar syrup and boil 10 minutes. Pour hot liquid through a strainer into a china cup, add lemon juice, brandy - all to mix and pour into a cup. 


Hot beer 

You will need: 1 liter of beer 
5 stars cloves 
50 g cinnamon 
4 egg yolk 
200 g of sugar. 

Boil beer with cloves and cinnamon, drain, leave for a few minutes on low heat. Beat yolks with sugar, gradually add the hot beer. Heated to a long drink thickens (be sure to not boiled!). Serve in large glasses. 

The German means a flaming wine. The main thing to remember - mulled wine, as well as coffee, in any case should not boil; the temperature of the drink should not exceed 70 degrees. 


Mulled Wine Classic 

You will need: 1 bottle of table red wine (0,75 ml) 
6.7 stars cloves 
1 / 3 cup water 
1 tablespoon sugar 
Nutmeg 
Lemon or orange peel. 

Cloves, ground nutmeg to fall asleep in Turku, pour 1 / 3 cup water, bring to a boil and cook on low heat for one minute, then boiled to brew for about 10 minutes. Pour wine into the pan and set on fire. Gently heating it, pour the contents of the Turks and add a tablespoon of sugar. 


White mulled 

You will need: 1 bottle of white wine 
10 pieces of burnt sugar 
1 star clove 
4 cup orange. 

Wine, sugar and cloves to warm, not boiling, and filter, pours into glasses. Decorate the edge of glasses of orange circles.
